IP Address?
"IP" stands for Internet Protocol, which is a set of rules governing the format of data sent over the internet or a local network. The term "IP" is often used in two main contexts:
IP Address: An Internet Protocol address is a unique string of numbers separated by periods or colons that identifies each computer using the Internet Protocol to communicate over a network.
- IPv4: An address format using 32 bits (e.g., 192.168.0.1).
- IPv6: A newer address format using 128 bits, allowing for a larger number of unique addresses (e.g., 2001:0db8:85a3:0000:0000:8a2e:0370:7334).
Intellectual Property (IP): In a business and creative context, IP refers to creations of the mind, such as inventions, literary and artistic works, designs, symbols, names, and images used in commerce. Intellectual property is protected by law, allowing people to earn recognition or financial benefit from their creations.
